|Appointed by the President of the French Republic, Mr. Vincent Sciama (1974) assumed his duties as Consul General of France in Louisiana in August 2017. He previously served as the Chargé de Mission with the Director of the United Nations, and the Chief of Staff of the Minister for the Development of French. |
Joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2006, he has focused on questions of sustainable development, health, and the promotion of the French language at the Permanent Mission of France of the United Nations first in Geneva, then in Paris. He also served in the press department at the Ministry, as the Deputy to the Spokesperson of the Quai d’Orsay (2015-2016).
A graduate of Sciences-Po in Paris (Institute of political studies), Vincent Sciama has a passion for literature and music (especially piano), and for Asia, having lived in China and Singapore. Married to Yuanyuan, he is the father of two daughters.

|With a Master’s degree in Foreign Language Acquisition and Didactics, Marjolaine Dupuy taught French as a Foreign Language and trained French teachers for many years in France and abroad (Peru, Germany, Mexico). Notably, she has worked in Alliance Françaises, at the Institut Français d’Amérique Latine, and at the Centre International d’Etudes Pédagogiques as an evaluation specialist. |
Wishing to diversify her skills, she joined the Mission de la langue française et de l’éducation at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2011. She then began working at the political Chancellery at the French Embassy in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), in 2014. She is the newest team member at the Consulate General of France in New Orleans (September 2018).

Originally from France and Madagascar, Marie-Agnès worked for the United Nation/World Food Program (UNWFP) as a special assistant to the Suisse Corps Desastre/Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit, SHA
She moved to New Orleans in 1993 and studied English as a second language at Tulane University and Delgado. She proceeded to work as a concierge/Front-Desk Supervisor at the De La Poste Hotel (now The W Hotel). Providing stellar customer service, she was admitted as a member of the Concierge Clé d’Or of New Orleans.
Married and mother of 3, she lived in Africa for 12 consecutive years and worked at the French Embassy in Rwanda as Assistant to the Cultural Counselor .
Marie-Agnès is now a New Orleans local. She joined the team of the Consulate General of France in 2007 as Cultural Services Coordinator and Assistant to the Educational Attaché. As of May 2017, she maintains functions as Human Resources for COCODFIL French Teachers and assumes her new duties as administrative and financial manager.
