Visit of the Embassy’s Cultural Advisor to New Orleans [fr]
Bénédicte de Montlaur, who recently began her position as the head of Cultural Services at the Embassy of France, visited New Orleans on September 21 and 22. Ms. de Montlaur experienced an action-packed visit, aimed at the promotion of new and central cultural initiatives across Louisiana: French language education; bilingualism and immersion schools in New Orleans; preparation for the Tricenntenial of New Orleans in 2018 with the office of Mayor Mitch Landrieu (exciting program to come!); cooperation with the New Orleans Museum of Art, the New Orleans Opera, and Festival International in Lafayette; our artistic project with the Arts Council, LUNA Fête; and, finally, a meeting with the President of Tulane University.
Ms. de Montlaur, inspired by her visit to the Crescent City, will surely be an asset in building more great and beautiful projects in service to the culture, education and Francophonie in Louisiana.
A bientôt !
