Teaching Assistance Program in France (TAPIF) 2016-2017 is now seeking applications

The Embassy of France in the United States is seeking candidates for the Teaching Assistance Program in France (TAPIF) for the academic year 2016-2017. TAPIF offers young Americans, ages 20 to 35, the possibility of living and traveling in France for 7 months. Candidates will act as English-language teaching assistants for French students in elementary and secondary classrooms.

The 1145 American assistants recruited at the beginning of 2015 are the most important foreign contingency before the British (940). Compensated by the Ministry of National Education at 964 euros (790 net) per month, they represent a French investment of at least 10 million dollars given in support of this initiative.

For the first time this year, the age limit has been raised from 30 to 35, and those who have already participated in the program are invited to reapply.
