TV5MONDE USA Highlights French in Louisiana [fr]


The French television channel TV5MONDE USA will be presenting special programming dedicated to Louisiana and its French heritage. This series begins Saturday and Sunday, May 2 & 3, 2015.

A new episode of “Rendez-Vous d’Amérique” looks at the Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette this year. This coverage includes exclusive interviews with Zachary Richard and Angélique Kidjo, as well as special backstage coverage of the festival.

Other programs on Louisiana will include:

"L’Amérique dans tous ses Etats : La Louisiane": a documentary presented by Gérard Klein

"Acadie, fille d’Amérique": a trip to the National Acadian Festival in Maine, with footage from the concerts of Zachary Richard, Lisa LeBlanc, Radio Radio, Roch Voisine, Marie-Jo Thério, Edith Butler, Florent Vollant, and Boréal Tordu.

"New Orleans, Street Jazz and Dirty Rap": a documentary on Bounce music, Trombone Shorty, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
