Opening of the "French Corner" at Latter Library [fr]
The Consulate General of France in Louisiana announced the donation of over 400 books to the New Orleans Public Library on Saturday, May 16 at Latter Library on St. Charles Avenue. These French children’s books, which include titles beloved by both French and American readers, are dedicated to the children of our city to encourage the love of reading.
During the inauguration of the new "French Corner", opening remarks were made by Ms. Kim Tran, Director of Initiatives & Strategies at NOPL, the Consul General of France, and City Council member, LaToya Cantrell.
Francophone and francophile families were invited to a ceremony, which included storytelling, crafts, and light refreshment.
