France in the Front Yard is back!

Consul General Vincent Sciama is offering the front yard at the Résidence de France on Prytania Street in New Orleans for a student art project. No knowledge of French is necessary.
Students will be able to use the space in front of the house to design and install a work of art (sculpture, painting, picture…) that illustrates two subjects of great importance to France:

Preservation of the environment

Louisiana French-speaking roots

The winning group/student will receive a stipend of $800 to complete their project.

Students or groups of students from middle school to college with a supervising adult from the same Louisiana school or institution are eligible to apply. No knowledge of French is necessary.
The winning project will be selected in mid-November.
The funds will be provided after the selection to cover necessary expenses such as art supplies, bus trips, etc. (fund will be transferred to this institutions’ bank account)
The project must be completed before the end of the school/university year (May 2020)
An unveiling ceremony will take place at the residence, and the winning team will benefit from a new partnership with the Consulate.
