European Film Festival at Manship Theatre [fr]

The second annual European Film Festival begins this weekend at the Manship Theater in Baton Rouge. This year will feature screenings from Poland, Italy, France, Switzerland, Russia, and Turkey. The selection of films for this year’s event was based on submissions for best Foreign Language Film at the Oscar Awards.

Each screening is accompanied by presentations and discussions with professors and students from LSU’s film and media program.

Some of the films screened this year will include Ida (Poland), Vivre sa vie (France), Human Capital (Switzerland), Das Boot ist Voll (Switzerland), Levaithan (Poland), and Winter Sleep (Turkey).
