The gathering at NOMA was a beautiful way to celebrate, support and morn together. I am so sorry for the continued attacks on French soil and on French people and ideals. It is a time of great hurt all around the globe and your words of strength and solidarity were appreciated. Thank you for your leadership. Stay strong.

On behalf of Chairman Bardell, myself and the entire Audubon family, we want to express our sincerest condolences to the families and community impacted by the events in Nice on yesterday. It is always a tragedy when human lives are lost and even more so when they are taken so senselessly. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

On behalf of the Office of Cultural Economy, we thank you for this evening’s invitation and we regret missing being there. Bastille Day Fête honors New Orleans’ long connection with France and francophone culture and in light of recent distressing events in Nice it is an extra welcome celebration.

I am shocked and saddened by the events in Nice yesterday and I want to express my deepest sympathy to you for the terror on Bastille Day. We stand with the French and denounce this cowardly act of inhumanity... It is more important than ever that our younger generation acquires the skills they will need to work out the world’s most complex problems.

Whoue houe, wipi, youpe, youpe, yaroue, yiyiyiyi, hahaha

Jean Arceneaux

Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite

Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite

We just wanted to express our sadness over the tragedy in Nice. We had moments of silence at both screenings last night to remember the victims. We are so grateful for all that you do to support French culture here in our city — our hearts are with you during this difficult time.
