2018 Donald Hoffman Memorial Grant

Do you have a project related to the French language and francophone cultures?
The Consulate General of France in New Orleans and the French American Chamber of Commerce can help you make it happen!

Eligibility:

Open to French-speaking Louisiana university students or young professionals, from 18-25 years old.

Grant details:

This grant is possible thanks to a partnership between the Consulate General of France in New Orleans and the French American Chamber of Commerce- Gulf Coast Chapter.

Potential Projects:

- Artistic creation: music, literature, film or art
- Study or research project
- Professional or business project

The selection committee is primarily interested in how the project impacts the promotion and dissemination of French and Francophone culture in Louisiana.

The winning project will be awarded a grant up to $1,500.

The amount awarded will depend on the project’s scope, and the funds must be used for its implementation before June 2019.

Application process:

Eligible candidates who wish to apply for this grant must submit a project proposal to Mr. Nicolas Torres (nicolas.torres@diplomatie.gouv.fr) and Mrs. Jennifer Rodriguez (jrodriguez@crt.la.gov) by Friday, September 28, 2018 using the application form below.

All candidates must be present for an interview at the Consulate General of France (1340 Poydras Street, Suite 1710, New Orleans, LA 70112) in October 2018 (date and time to be announced).

The candidates must be prepared to:

1. Give a 5-10 minute oral presentation in French about their background;

2. Give a 5-10 minute oral presentation in French about their project;

3. Have a 5-10 minute discussion about their project with the jury.
