2015 Paris Climat Conference Presents New Website [fr]
As of January 14, you can find all the information and news concerning the 2015 Paris Climate Conference (or COP21) at its new website: cop21.gouv.fr
Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius presented the website, as well as visuals of the Paris Climat Conference, over which he will preside. He reminded the public of the objective of the conference, which he called ambitious but necessary, to limit the effects of climate imbalance by 2°C.
The conference will be prepared, in an unprecedented move, with the collaboration of the Peruvian chairmanship of the COP20 and the general public. The conference will take place in Bourget from November 30 to December 11, 2015. With 196 parties, 40,000 participants and approximately 3,000 journalists, the COP 21 will be an example of the universal issues concerning the quality of the environment.
"Throughout the year, we will then, with all the countries of the world, work to accomplish - we hope - during the month of December of this year in Paris, the first universal agreement on the climate. It is very complicated to do because it requires that each country participates, beginning with the most polluted, but it is absolutely essential."
