Merci to Senator Eric LaFleur for his invitation to speak during this beautiful ceremony. Rougon Elementary School is the thirtieth immersion school in the CODOFIL program in Louisiana, a wonderful opportunity for students in the parish.

Louisiana culture is known and cherished across the entire world, and French is a global language. This new school is a great investment for new generation, who will have the ability to reconnect with their French, Cajun and Créole heritage.

Merci to the State of Louisiana, to CODOFIL, to the parishes, communities, schools, teachers, parents and students for their enthusiasm and their unfailing support of French education in Louisiana!
