The Consul General and Attaché for Education and French visited our allies and friends, Indians of the Isle de Jean Charles and Pointe-Au-Chien.

These native Americans have lived in Terrebonne Parish for centuries, and suffer the drastic coastal erosion which cuts through southern Louisiana.

They speak an amazing French, passed down through their ancestors, and the Consulate General is happy to better know and work with its new friends, towards the preservation of their unique and superb culture.

Merci to Chef Albert "White Bison" Naquin and to the members of the his tribe, who were so welcoming, and whose pride and love of their language and land is undeniable!
